Mohammed (saww) was often insulted during his life time, but never did he allow the insulters to be killed. One famous example is someone who was even coming to kill him, then turned Muslim, if I remember well, that is. Instead of killing all who insulted him, Mohammed (saww) used arguments and logic to teach people his views and bring the message of Allah.

If even he himself didn’t allow killing, then I don’t see why we, his followers, should.

There are some issues ,in which, Common men like us can not act like Prophets. We have to see , how the close friends of Prophet (PBUH) reacted when they came across such cases. Yes, Prophet forgave many people, but he also fought wars and expelled jew tribes from Madina. We can not act like prophet in such specific cases, but we can act like the true followers , n Hazrat Umer (R.A) was true follower. Hazrat Umer (R.A) punished people due to non compliance of Judgment gven by Prophet (PBUH). And a verse of Quran was revealed exonerating Hazrat Umer (R.A). Now, imagen how Hazrat Umer (R.A) would have Responded to ths issue. When people throw garbage ön us, we should responed with argument , but when someone try to throw garbage on our Prophet, then it is a different story cz Prophet has more right on our lives than anything else, acording to Hadees . Its Just matter of conscience…
