I was born in pakistan and left the country when i was about 12. Went to england for schooling and read physics for my undergraduate degree. Then went to Canada to get my MS degree. I got a PhD from University of California, USA. I would like to move to pakistan. Everyone warns me that I wouldn’t like to live and work in a country where a policeman and an army captain has more respect and more perks than a university prof or a research scientist. I am really keen to move to a Muslim country, but don’t have any contact either in pakistan or any other Muslaim state. As my life is very busy here in the USA, I have no idea how do you go on chat site. This is the first time i am enetring this site though I have no clue what I am supposed to do.
If any brother/sister have any advice for me, i would be very grateful to receive it. Incidently, I have sent numerous messages to various universiteis in pakisatn, but no one bathered to respond so far.
Thank you ansd asslamao-alaikum WR.
Re: Interested in a university teaching job in pakistan
Why teaching? There is a lot more you can do with your knowledge than just to replicate it in class rooms. And yes, its absolutely right that a man in uniform is more powerful than the Prime Minister in Pakistan at the moment. Its a Jihad to live in this country and work honestly for the betterment of people.
Re: Interested in a university teaching job in pakistan
More sad is the tendency amongst the learned and educated Pakistanis who find no fault with Military Janta ruling the country. I used to be very hopeful but I am beginning to feel I am wrong.
