things are changing in india. we had old buses on old roads almost crawling before but now we have luxury buses plying on decent highways and with this comes the speed. watch the video and tell us if u wud consider traveling long distances by buses from one major city to another.
i will NOT travel by bus for sure even now. i wud prefer trains which are much safer and more comfortable.**

Looks like the buses are doing about 120-130. That's run of the mill stuff for coaches around the world. In Pakistan the Daewoos can't go over 110, we have speed limits here :)

I will absolutely take a bus. Much faster & cleaner than a train, IMO :)

Airport line of delhi metro does over 100 kmph in the city.

Looks like the buses are doing about 120-130. That's run of the mill stuff for coaches around the world. In Pakistan the Daewoos can't go over 110, we have speed limits here :)
But somehow, they still manage to overtake cars going at 120 :)

^^ Agreed, roadways run better buses then private sector on that route. infact non stop luxury roadways buses how have airplane like tv's for every passenger with in bus pentry and toilet.
When i travelled in one of those buses, my channels were not working and the conductor returned me 50 rupees. now that is surprizing

there are sleeper buses too :D
since the road travel is less safe than train travel, i wud still prefer train over bus. i travel in First AC and its quite comfy especially on rajdhanii trains which have newer LHB coaches.
indian roads, especially high speed highways, aren't safe because drivers have no good ethics. i always wunder who has got a genuine license after proper road tests. bus drivers are usually very rash, lack of highway safety regulations, trucks are often overloaded etc etc...i will never travel by bus in the near future.**

oh wow...a 100 km or miles per hour? ... has the service startyed to the airport? i heard that ur baggage will be checked in at the starting Metro Station...that service will be a very convenient thing to have. :)

also the problem is that the drivers are paid for how many trip they make, hence the reason why they rush and drive dangerously

i traveled across Canada by train but here its so boring...no life either on the train or at train stations...its sooooo DULL...while trains in India is full of actions... as soon as the train arrives on a station, the whole area gets charged and buzzes with activity...chai garam aur samose bechne waaloN kii aawaazeN ... ufff, so interesting...i simply LOVE village life that passes right infront of ur eyes and u see thru ur window...especially, during monsoon season :D**

Besides even when those busses crash so long as I’m not in direct impact zone or the bus dont roll of a 300ft cliff or something I will be fine…
I was once on a Desi diesel train and in typical style I was clinging to the side when I fell off I didn’t even get a bruise and the Train was speeding away like mad… served me right for boarding without a ticket… what goes round comes round.
But yeah that actually looks like fun…
