I visit nature reserves quite regular. In the UK we have a number of nature conservation organisations - the Royal Society Protection of Birds (RSPB), Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust (WWT), National Trust, National Nature Reserves, National Parks, Local Wildlife Trusts ..the ones I think of at the top of my head.
I visit RSPB sites the most. They are managed for birds but other wildlife too. I visit woodlands, moorland, rough pasture, bogs, wetlands, reedbed, sand dunes, estuary, salt marsh, scrub, heathland, coastal cliffs when I get the chance. i also visit open green spaces in towns and cities such as parks which can be a haven for wildlife too.
I do enjoy walking, wildlifewatching and photography. When I visit an area the natural heritage can be the most important factor in influencing my choice. All habitats are my favourite but coastal habitats with sand dunes and cliffs, as well as heathland just some of my favourites.
I love nature, I live in the West Midlands and the Safari Park is but a short drive away from our home.
Also the Welsh Border is not far either and its good Horse country with plenty of game, while I do have a type 2 license I only occasionally hunt game. Most of the time I merely admire the swarms of Quail and Pheasants.
I see a lot of Deer in the early morning and the Government was proposing a cull of MuntJacks, foxes are more numerous than ever and the farmers around me always complain.
