Im planning a short trip to London in June. I wanted to goto France right after attending a wedding there as I’ve been to UK lots of times and seen everything… Now whats the best way to go about it, Euro/Channel tunnel, air travel? Last time I did any inter euro travel, that was all taken care of dad and he had travel agents who took care of it… What do you guys recommend? Should I book something in advance or do I wait till I get to London?
Re: Inter Europe Travel
You can get the Euro star from Kings X. I would say book in advance. If you dont mind driving hire a car.
Re: Inter Europe Travel
well depends where u r in europe.. and if u want any adventures along the way.. i'd say Eurostar.. board it from either Brussels, Lille or Paris.. serves you both france and England.. air travel might be expensive if u want to combine both
Re: Inter Europe Travel
Thanks, i went to the eurostar webpage, chose the US as country of residence and when I do a search based on the month of june, the next page is just blank... ??? Do the fares skyrocket if you wait for a long time to book it?

I love going to Franch by ferry. Ferry reaches Calais and from there you can catch a train to Paris etc. Its a different experience as well if you are looking for a change.
If you find a good offer before reaching London - then go for that as at least you will be all prepared and won't have to worry about getting things ready at the last moment. :)
Re: Inter Europe Travel
This is a ferry website that I tried with friends and throughly enjoyed. Bought my tickets online and they sent them home.
Re: Inter Europe Travel
Its just 20 pounds???? thats dirt cheap!
Re: Inter Europe Travel
choose your country of dep as UK.. and then look for the fares.. if u book for june right now i believe u'll be paying around £80 for londo to paris and back to london.. reconfirm the fares from their website
Ferry is definately cheaper than flights.:)
But if you hate flying and get seasick easily then train is the way to go!:D
Book in advance whatever you do cos you'll obviously save money.
Personally i'd take the ferry.
Re: Inter Europe Travel
Book an Easyjet or any other cheap airline, will cost you same as train
Train is most convenient if you wanna get to Paris from London (St Pancras International). However you can get ferry from Dover to Calais, and then get a train from there. The ferry ride is quite short and the views of the White Cliffs of Dover and the English Channel are very pretty, especially if its a sunny day.
Re: Inter Europe Travel
I would go with the Eurostar. It is a good experience and more fun that flying around everyehere. Ferry is no fun when you get sea sick :(
I am planning on taking my sister to France via the Eurostar in the Summer too.
