Most of the mullahs that are worth listening to I find, are converts... Many are convert black or white American... I think the reason they are more palitable is because they come from a completely different culture, with different values, different beliefs.
They bring an open minded culture, a culture that believes in rights of individiduals.
Pakistani, Arab, and other Mullahs come from a very close minded culture... A lot of what they consider to be relgious mandates by god are, I think, just outdated cultural traditions disguised as Islam...
The veil for a Pakistani Talibani Mullah is and expression of that Mullahs own patriarchal upbringing... Its an extension of the Mullahs own prejudices towards women. For a convert Mullah, its an expression of a womens piety towards god, her own choice.
We should hope that more Americans and westerners convert and save the rest of the Muslim world from Jahaluth of our home grown mullah goat idiots.

This where i can never control my emotions, and maybe no ordinary Muslim would. If this is your freedom of speech then i really willl never want to be with such people. I would quietly part so that no more ill will is shown to others. FOr such a discussion board whre people can “in the name of freedom of speech” speak like this for mosques and for our sisters, it is better that according to your justice i say no word… since this has become quite acceptable in the enlightened and modern wold of today.

That entire about Lal Masjid was derailed. It was hopeless and pathetic, humour in crude taste and I was severely disappointed to see some reasonable members behaving in such disgraceful way. Nobody appeared to have any concern for Pakistan yet it was in Pakistani Affairs.
