yes you can IF you have a MODEM in your PC, AND scanner if you want to fax some documents.

hmmmm what windows you are using?
if XP then go to start and click on RUN
on prompt type CMD and ENTER
a new window will open
type " find mymodem /cheti " and press enter.

ok go to Windows Device Manager by clicking Start, Settings, Control Panel, System icon, and finally clicking the Device Manager tab. and check under MODEM if there is any modem installed.
hmm ok 2nd thought, how you connect to internet? you DIAL your internet provider’s phone number and have user name and password saved?

there r two modems installed..one os HUWAI WIRELESS MODEM frm which i connect internet and the other is TOUSHIBA SOFTWARE MODEM.
i use internet frm wireless phone...ptcl wireless..and yes i have username n password saved

or if you simply want a hosted solution for sending and receiving faxes... then try myfax.com - you'll get assigned a toll free number to receive faxes... and you can upload the files you want to send, enter the recipient's fax number to send a fax.
That's what I use.
The monthly fees is around $10 and I think you can try it out free for sometime too.
