Intelligence compromised, raid to bomb making factories tipped off

US intelligence to Pakistan compromised: report

WASHINGTON (AFP) – US intelligence officials have twice handed Islamabad tips about insurgent bomb-making factories, only to find them abandoned before Pakistani troops arrived, according to The Washington Post.

The vacated factories have led US officials to question whether the information had been mistakenly leaked in recent weeks or whether the insurgents had been directly warned by Pakistan’s powerful Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) agency, according to the report.

Details.

Where is our frickin intelligence? Why can’t we find these factories/storages on our own? and when these are located by ‘foreign’ elements the raid is already tipped off and I am certain that the raid is not tipped off just by an hour or two but probably well ahead as removing bombs from storage, removing all bomb material, finding an “alternate location” and then moving them all can’t be done in matter of few hours IMO.

Re: Intelligence compromised, raid to bomb making factories tipped off

Captain1, the problem is deep. We are on the verge of chaos getting out of control. We have to radically change our educational material, we are not making humans but zombies. These fking so-called Islamist's and their dreams of world domination will end in destruction of Pakistan.

its like one of these

Re: Intelligence compromised, raid to bomb making factories tipped off

there are two things in this bit,

1st the source is US and there is no solid ground on which i can or i should trust them... they are after our army and intelligence so they won't be shy to issue such statement that look we informed them and they didn't do anything so we have to come in now to fix the problems...

2ndly, removing bomb making factories???forget if it is matter of hours or days, removing the material require heavy movements, and if they have marked the site, they should also be able to track the movements from the site... i.e. the terrorists were not taking the things out in kilo and half a kilo pack....

last but not least, they should focus on kinds of Molvi faqeer and Fazalullah who are in Afghanistan and doing all kind of terrorist activity in Pakistan... US should move their focus on eliminating them

Re: Intelligence compromised, raid to bomb making factories tipped off

I dont know how much to trust US intelligence anyway. Rather, trust that their tip off is correct. They may be lying to further demoralise us

Re: Intelligence compromised, raid to bomb making factories tipped off

US and intelligence! Folks I have a bridge to sell...

Re: Intelligence compromised, raid to bomb making factories tipped off

I agree that the source of this news as well as US intelligence is not much trustworthy. But if you think about it, they are making a bomb so frequently I doubt they are going to buy the material every time they have to make one, so they are keeping material in a place (or may be different places), why can't our intelli find those places?

Re: Intelligence compromised, raid to bomb making factories tipped off

Im sure it is looking. Its not for them to divulge every time they find a place honestly. I feel that such things should be kept from the media as they are ongoing operations and would tip off militants should they know what the army has found and hasnt.

Re: Intelligence compromised, raid to bomb making factories tipped off

Hannibal jee, expect the Gora-boot lickers to believe everything coming out of US newspapers. They will NEVER question it. Have they every asked, who is tipping off TTP terrorists? Who is hiding those TTP terrorists like Mullah Fazlullah and Mehshuds and God knows how many others? Who is vacating their check posts just before the army operation begins in South Wazirstan?

Sadly the american boot lickers and Pakistan haters who are in a constant denial will never see it. Nor on these forums and not in news papers such as DaWN or Express Tribune (a subsidy of NYT). If you read any of these newspapers it looks like as if an extension of american newspapers spreading american national interest and harming Pakistan's at the same time.

I will fully support our Jawans who are laying their lives for us and will never let anyone disrespect them on my face.

These Pakistan haters are welcome to go on shows like Bill O'Reilly and lick his boots too. He will show them what he thinks of those, LOL.

Re: Intelligence compromised, raid to bomb making factories tipped off

BTW in my opinion, Pakistan should have shown this Panetta guy the video of NATO soldiers moving away and emptying the check posts so that TTP terrorists could easily run away and find sanctuaries in Afghanistan after Pak started the operation in SW.

Thing is clear, when some of Western diplomat visits an other country, they come up with a backup from their media. The media will start publishing supporting stuff just before they arrive in the host country. Our bought out media on the other hand just starts copying and publishing that stuff without any sense of responsibility or just to get few extra dollars. When will they finally learn? These boot lickers?

Re: Intelligence compromised, raid to bomb making factories tipped off

From Pakistani side who has these guts kiyani? Pasha?

As far as boot licking is concerned who can be more boot lickers than our army high command?

Re: Intelligence compromised, raid to bomb making factories tipped off

Leave NATO or Americans aside they cannot even complain to afghans and indians

Re: Intelligence compromised, raid to bomb making factories tipped off

Why these factories were not ‘droned’? Why they bothered to share the intelligence with Pakistanis? :hmmm:

Re: Intelligence compromised, raid to bomb making factories tipped off

According to the articles the factories were in areas densely populated, hence a lot of casualties were feared, thats why the Americans didn't drone them

Re: Intelligence compromised, raid to bomb making factories tipped off

u think they care? they would have claimed the whole neighbourhood as a terrorist colony...they just have to make a statement and NOT prove it...it's called heavy-handedness...isn't it? i'm sure you were being sarcastic :D

Re: Intelligence compromised, raid to bomb making factories tipped off

Your point makes sense and it would be nice to assume so, but I am not entirely concinved of this justification given their track record. Had Zawahiri been hiding there, would they have done or thought the same way as they did now? I don't think so.

Re: Intelligence compromised, raid to bomb making factories tipped off

no i am not sarcastic thats in some article that i read...according to them they didnt carry out drone to ensure no chance of collateral damage, thats strange for me too...

as it doesnt matter to them as long as the people being killed are not american

Re: Intelligence compromised, raid to bomb making factories tipped off

EXACTLY!!! :)

Re: Intelligence compromised, raid to bomb making factories tipped off

shouldn’t this be eye-opener for us? they don’t want to destroy TTP, even Baitullah Mahsud killing took long time though his whereabouts were given to CIA multiple times.

Re: Intelligence compromised, raid to bomb making factories tipped off

chit bhi maro pat bhi maro.
