Yerin, speaking to journalists in Minsk, alleged that for the last few years, half of the diplomats working at the U.S. Embassy in the Belarusian capital – some 20 people in total – have been spies.
Yerin said the United States had the most active intelligence contingent in Belarus. He said foreign intelligence services were especially interested in Belarus’s armed forces and defense industry, which cooperates closely with Russia.
The U.S. embassy declined to comment.
The United States this week imposed a travel ban on Belarusian President Alyaksandr Lukashenka and seven top ministers over human rights violations. Last week, 14 of the European Union’s 15 members imposed the same prohibition.
comment:why do we have US and British embassies in all the Muslim countries when it is known to all that these are used as a means to spy on the Muslims as well as to communicate the commands from Washington or London.
Muslims rulers must treat America and the colonialist nations and those who support her as an arrogant enemy, by severing the relationships, closing down the embassies, stopping all trade and all dealings, expelling their citizens, and freezing their assets. More importantly, the Muslim’s rulers must abolish any more political treaties and expel all military forces and to close down any military . They must also close their waters, lands and spaces to entry or passage from any of the enemy states. They have also to break off any influence and remove any agent or spy for these states in the Islamic lands.

You'd probably get a whole lot of support from the more right wing conservatives in America for doing such a thing. They'd probably even be willing to provide you with all the financial aid you'd need to erect a huge wall surrounding your Muslim world that you could use to keep us westerners out. Of course, they'd want to reciprocate and send all the wayward foreign born Muslims living in the US back to their walled enclave.
We better hurry and patent this concept before everyone else in the world figures out that they can use THEIR embassies as nests of spies!
And correct me if I am wrong, but the largest export of Pakistan is textiles, and about 40% is exported to the US. What do yo think will happen when all those Muslim jobs go to nice Catholic folk down in Mexico, or Latin America?
How about this: The West and Muslim countries work at understanding and tolerance…
And pardon me for saying this, but in this particular case we are acusing the Belarusian Government of Human Rights abuses!!! Now those rotten spies are advocating for Human Rights. Better watch out, if it gets bad we may have to publish a Dossier on these brutes… Good thing all those really nice EU countries agreed to do the same thing, or nobody would believe us…

If this were to happen, do you realize that you will only be able to surf the mww (Muslim Wide Web)? And that is only if this new walled community could support the technology, expertise and expense necessary to maintain the infrastructure.
And by the way, this is the report that those “spies” produced:
The regime’s human rights record continued to be very poor and worsened in several areas. The authorities continued to limit severely the right of citizens to change their government. In the period prior to the September presidential elections, the regime committed widespread human and civil rights violations, including physical mistreatment of opponents, manipulation of the regime-dominated mass media, intimidation of election observers, and manipulation of the vote count. The authorities did not undertake serious efforts to account for disappearances in previous years of well-known opposition political figures and discounted credible reports during the year regarding the regime’s role in those disappearances. Security forces continued to beat political opponents, detainees, and others. There were reports of severe hazing in the military during the year. Prison conditions remained poor. Security forces arbitrarily arrested and detained citizens, and the number of apparently politically motivated detentions greatly increased, although many of those detained were held for brief periods. The security services infringed on citizens’ privacy rights and monitored closely the activities of opposition politicians and other segments of the population. Severe restrictions continued on freedom of speech and of the press, and the authorities did not respect freedom of peaceful assembly or association. During the year, the regime introduced several new decrees further severely restricting these freedoms. The authorities continued to restrict freedom of religion, favoring the Russian Orthodox Church at the expense of the Roman Catholic, Protestant, Greek Catholic, and Autocephalous Orthodox churches. The regime restricted freedom of movement. Regime security agents closely monitored human rights organizations and hindered their efforts. Domestic violence and discrimination against women remained significant problems, and anti-Semitism persisted. The authorities continued to restrict severely workers’ rights to associate freely, organize, and bargain collectively; and after the Presidential elections launched a major effort to cut off resources to the trade unions by prohibiting employers from withholding union dues. The International Labor Organization has sanctioned the regime for these violations. There were reports of forced labor. Trafficking in women and girls was a continuing problem.
this typical response i expect from pro americans who are brainwashed or just trying to pretend to be blind to the facts!

the spies in pakistan are so numerous its unbeliveable, it is known that 44 FBI offices are setup throught pakistan if not more. If you read post in pak forum regarding new "spider group" setup by FBI this group is actually causing concern and chaos within the pakistan army itself.
This is so dangerous that the security of a nation is undermined by such actions permitted by musharaff & co
I read about the "spider group", now what is it that you think they are doing wrong? Criminals declared war on my country and killed 3,000 people. We will do whatever is needed to bring them to justice, and if that fails we will kill them. That is the new war without borders, without uniforms, without nationalities. The US agents who are in your country have been invited. We may hire Pakistani's to help in our hunt for criminals, and frankly, do YOU trust the ISI in your country? If 3000 of your countrymen had died in a spectacular crash in your largest city you would do the same thing!
But the article above is quite different. Embassies, and diplomats can observe both the good and the bad in a country. They are there to make contact with the government and the people, and to represent the American people to that country. Do you not think that every country in the world has "spies" in it's embassies across the world?

You somehow forget the cold war. Russia raised spying in the United States to a new artform. Do some research and find out how many high level Americans were bought and paid for by the Russians. Nothing new here....
Don't know why you bring up spies in america for, anyway so you loved the spies in america did you no you hated them and wanted them rooted out no surprise there then. So why don't you look up the word empathy then maybe you will understand why muslims hate american spies and american paid spies in there country!
Don't misquote me. Everybody uses spies, the US, Pakistan, russia and everybody who has an embassy. I would imagine that the US is the largest target for spies. We know they are there, and we catch them when we can. As does everybody else. This is not a "Muslim" issue.
Spies run the risk of being caught. Certainly they should be tried and jailed if it breaks your laws, and there is evidence to convict them. Torturing spies generally reveals little as information is very compartmentalized, and one individual spy knows very little. In the cold war with Russia, spies were often quietly exchanged.
