MIAinVA it’s such a relief to hear that. I thought that was just me. at work I often felt this but thought I’m just too slow to get their jokes. LOL.
As for integrating, I think it depends on how much effort you make and how you present yourself. I think generally the white people are acceptive of us, but I think the question of where you’re from is one they still like to ask. :aq:
Also I think if you’re ok with your limits and culture they do respect that. At uni I have all English friends and they know I’m a hijabi, don’t drink alcohol, pray etc and they find it really interesting and are really acceptive of it even though all of them had grown up in very English communities.Alhumdolilah.
I'll never be fully integrated. The country I live in is just too freakish for me to get fully integrated.
