The US/UK led occupation forces in Afghanistan would have us believe that it is some few nutcases (which they quite conveniently call “Taliban”) are responsible for the insurgency in Afghanistan. A few bad guys who are being brought under control. Their puppets tow the same line as their masters. While this conflict unfortunately, it can be argued, may not have given us any benevolent Heroes, let’s at least keep an ear out for skepticism shall we?
The reasons which gives rise to Robin Hoods and revoltionary forces (and which not necessarily always fit the western mind of “good” as opposed to “evil” dichotomy) are always derided.
“It’s all good,” they would want us to believe.
