Instant Maggie noodles

Do you think they pass as a nutritious meal? A friend of mine eats only those before and after his workout.

My view is that they are fattening. Would you agree? :S

Re: Instant Maggie noodles

depends on ones diet, i think maggi (and any other instant noodles) have alot of sodium and carbohydrates..

Re: Instant Maggie noodles

I wouldn't think it's among the healthiest food choices. However, it's OK if you eat it every now and then...Whenever, my mom cooks something that i don't particularly like or when I am hungry but don't want to overload my tummy, I cook a packet of instant noodles with mixed veggies and spinach and a hard boiled egg on the side...It's filling but not too heavy...

Re: Instant Maggie noodles

^ ooh sounds yummy… me gonna go have some right now. :yummy:

edit: nevermind :hinna:

Re: Instant Maggie noodles

no i dont think so :hmmm: jst carbs

it can pass as a meal if eaten along with other food groups

fattening yes can be if ur overloading ur body with them if ur friend is trying to loose weight then he shud switch maggi noodles with some fruits like bananas they r much better option

if hes trying to build muscles then he should have more protiens than “maggi noodles” :cb:

Re: Instant Maggie noodles

niks, they were soo famous back in the early to mid nineties in India, we got alot of packs when we went! I still remember the customs officer laughing at the suitcase full of Maggie noodles :hehe: and they were dirt cheap, like Rs. 2 per pack?

Re: Instant Maggie noodles

Living among noodle-crazy Chinese for some time now, I have learnt that:

  1. Instant noodles are 'cheap'... ghareeb aadmi ka khana
  2. Instant noodles are 'harmful' to health. And this coming from a nation that eats noodles as we eat roti.

I don't know the medical reasons for the above, but I take it at the face value.
