I have merinated it. I am just so worried, how to cook it. I dont have a grill pan and I want it to be fully done and really tender & juicy… any suggestions??
I dont have meat tenderizer too so dont recommend. Can I cook it in microwave? it says, Express Cook> Roast Beef or Meat Joint… can I do that?? if yes? whats the maximum time I shall follow?? ![]()
Re: Instant help required BEEF STEAK!!
To make it more tender, you can wrap the meat in plastic wrap and then pound it with a can until it's a little thinner. Sear it in a pan, and then cook it in the oven. That way it will retain all the juices and will be tender, but will also be cooked through. Good luck!
Re: Instant help required BEEF STEAK!!
and time for keeping it in oven??
Re: Instant help required BEEF STEAK!!
If you dont even have an oven, you can improvise by elevating a thick bottomed frying pan in someway so bottom is not touching the stove, and putting a dome type lid on top to create a dutch oven kind of setup.

It could be a microwave convection oven. We also have one. Results are not as good as your regular oven

Re: Instant help required BEEF STEAK!!
It's difficult to tell you how much time it should be in the oven, since it's supposed to reach a specific internal temperature so that the meat is safe to eat... but I would put it in a hot oven for at least 15 min. I've never cooked it this way though, so this is just an estimate...
Re: Instant help required BEEF STEAK!!
i always make beef stake on the grill and it goes very well, even i dont use meat tenderizer
Re: Instant help required BEEF STEAK!!
PLEASE DON’T MICROWAVE IT!!! You will ruin a lovely piece of meat if you do that. As greysanatomyfan said, pan-sear it first. Make sure you have a heavy-bottomed skillet. Pre-heat your oven to about 350 F. Make the skillet extremely hot and sear both sides of the steak (or even one) for about 2 mins - DO NOT MOVE THE STEAK AROUND. Once you have a nice good crust (you’ll be able to tell cos it’ll move around on it’s own on the skillet, no sticking), put the skillet in the oven. Now crucial part - how do you like your steak? I think steaks are such epicly awesome cuts of meat that they’re best enjoyed at medium-rare to medium only. If you’re looking for medium-rare to medium…leave it in the oven for about 5 minutes, I’d say. If you want it well-done, 7-10 minutes will do the trick. After it’s done, take it out of the oven, put a knob of butter on the steak and cover it with foil and leave it to sit for 10 minutes - VERY IMPORTANT TO LEAVE IT TO REST!!! It’ll make the steak super-juicy and good.
