Inspiring someone to be healthy

Is it ever possible to get someone who is least interested in their health to get fit and active? How does one go about it.

slip them E and put on trance.....

Re: Inspiring someone to be healthy

I just show them clogged arteries pics and draw a bleak future pic of a couch potato on Insulin with a urine bag by the side with some shortness of breath every time they walk to the bathroom

I would keep myself healthy first as proof....and would hope my awesomeness would eventually rub off onto them. And I second the clogged arteries pictures

You cannot change or motivate anyone unfortunately unless they truly want to change themselves.
Let's face it, even if you were to cook them all their meals and they did lose weight, eventually old habits don't die.

You can have a serious talk with this person, talk to them about the unhealthy lifestyle they have chosen and the risks of it. You can also show them pictures of people who have been successful, maybe even refer them to good websites to track their fitness and eating like myfitnesspal.com. You can help them along, make small changes like not eating out as much, minimize late night snacking or late night dinners, drink more water, etc. Every week maybe add a change to the diet and add a bit more exercise. Don't expect them to change their ways suddenly because that's hard to maintain long term, so make smaller changes and work from there.

Make them Moderator of Health and Fitness. With responsibility comes behavior changes.
