Insomnia

Okay maybe not insomnia. But how do you put yourself to sleep, when you just don’t feel sleepy? :frowning:

I have a serious case of Insomnia these days, even if I fall asleep, I get awakened by the slightest of noise and find it hard to go back to sleep. And TV makes it worse I guess. If I wake up in the middle of night, I swtich on the damn thing and either watch infomercials or damn reruns of Coach or parenthood and stuff. I might consider going to a doc.

^ tell me about it! I get woken up after 2-3 hours of falling asleep by bad dreams. Then its impossible to fall asleep.

A remedy hard to implement but cures your sleep problems is to maintain sleep deprivation for a night or two. The body automatically desires rest and you will be sound a sleep 24 hours later. It also depends on your conditioning sometimes it make take up to 48 hours without sleep to get your sleep cycle to start working.

Excercise. Make yourself physically tired. Get a quick shower. Get a glass of milk at sleep time and you'd be dozing

get up pray tahajjud and start reciting Quran....
u'll soon feel very sleepy....

and even if u dont atleast u wud not have wasted ur night....

The day that you really wana sleep early. Take dinner a bit late and after dinner go straight to bed.

BUT, dont do it too often cuz its not good for health.

Pray..if that dont; work then..exercise..and then have a cold shower...you'll go off to sleep like a baby :)

how late do u eat?

hot baths and aromatherapy helps me relax, unwind and release any stress/tension I may be feeling. It really helps get a good night's sleep too.

trust me on this, recite Ayat Al Kursi around u 4 times. U'll be at ease. Take stress off ur mind, & recite Surah Al Waqiyah before sleeping if u possibly can.
