insolent eyes dared to gaze?

Re: insolent eyes dared to gaze?

**English Lyrics and translation **

a*j sik mitraaN dee vadheeRi ay
kyon dilree udaas ganeree ay
looN looN vich shawq changeri ay
aj nainaaN laiyaaN kyon jhaRiyaaN! *

Today the yearning for the loved one is great indeed!
Why is my heart saddened, like a reed?
The desire is aflame, running through my veins!
Why are my adoring eyes today dazzled by the beloved?

*Mukh chan badr shah shaani ay
Matthay chamkay laaT noorani ay
Kaali zulf tay akh mastaani ay
Mahmoor akheeN hain madh bhaRiyaaN *

His face is like the full moon, worthy of his regal stature!
A radiant light shines on his brow
His tresses are black, his eyes are intoxicating!
Those dreamy eyes are full of the wine of love!

*Is surat nooN mein jaan aakhaaN
Jaanaan ke jaan-e-jahaan aakhaaN?
Sach aakhaaN tay Rabb dee shaan aakhaaN
Jis shaan tooN shaanaaN sab baniyaaN
*
Shall I call this countenance my soul?
Or my soul’s soul? Or the soul of the worlds?
If I speak truthfully, I shall call it the glory of my Lord
The glory from which all others were created!

Subhan Allah! Maa ajmalaka
Maa ahsanaka, maa akmalaka

Glory be to Allah! There is no one more beautiful than thee!
No one more excellent than thee, no one more perfect!

*Kithay Mehr Ali kithay teri sanaa
Gustaakh akheeN kithay jaa aRiyaan! *

What is the status of Mehr Ali that he dares to praise thee?
Where have these insolent eyes dared to gaze?

I must sacrifice my soul on your blessed sandal. Ya Rasul Allah!صلي الله عليه و سلم

I am drowned in the taste of your love
And the chain of your love binds my heart.
Yet I don’t say that I know this language (of love). Ya Rasul Allah
صلي الله عليه و سلم!

Ze Kharda Khaish Hairaanam
Siyaa Shud Roze Isyaanam
Pashemaanam, Pashemaanam, Pashemaanam. Ya Rasul Allah صلي الله عليه و سلم!

I am worried due to my misdeeds;
And I feel that my sins have blackened my heart. Ya Rasul Allah!
صلي الله عليه و سلم
I am in distress! I am in distress! I am in distress! Ya Rasul Allah!
صلي الله عليه و سلم

Choon Baazoo’e Shafaa’at Raa
Khushaa’I Bar Gunaagara
Makun Mahruume Jaami Raa
Daraa Aan. Ya Rasul Allah صلي الله عليه و سلم!

Ya Rasul Allah صلي الله عليه و سلم! When you spread your hands to intercede for the sinners,
Then do not deprive Jaami of your exalted intercession

i heard this naat few years back ........ and the naat khawan told the meaning of its one or two verses......... from the day i heard this naat i loved it and i was wondering how could get the lyrics of this naat and the meaning of the whole naat (as the naat sharif is in Persian).

after years u made my wish come true. jazakullah for that ............

as i took the print of this naat and read it and my tears started flowing ........ (as a general rule sinner dont weep ) but i think this naat has some magic.

may allah shower his blessing to ummate muhmmad generally; and on imaam jami (who wrote this ) and upon u, who shared it wid us.

and may allah give us strength to love his prophet (pbuh) and follow his sunnah in true sense and spirit. ameen
