i was feeling bored, browsing through google’s collection of mosque pictures - and came across this one apparently of Turkey’s Blue Mosque. i wonder if any guppy from here has visited Turkey and, if so, have they visited inside this mosque. i would like to visit it one day Insha’Allah (that will remain a dream forever).
It’s interesting that they have those murals/mosaics above the first-level doors… it reminds me of church murals/mosaics (sorry, i don’t know the proper word for it). Manifestly, these ones would never have human representations on them… probably just calligraphy and abstract designs.
Anyways it’s kinda nice isn’t it ? Spacious for sure. Wonder how much it cost to build this.
