I am sure you all must have heard this song/ghazal by Ustad Amanat Ali. I have listened to it since i was literally a baby…i have always liked the sound of it and though i dont really understand its meaning but the song touches me somehow.
So can anyone here help me understand the song. Thanks

understand the song? it need deep thoughts. =) take some lyrics and think about that what that actual means. letting you understand it is much difficult.

Indeed great work by Ibn e Insha and one of the master pieces of Ustad Amanat Ali Khan's ghazals. His son Late Asad Amanat Ali Khan sang it too, kind of to give tribute to his Late father. Asad passed away soon after giving this performance. One thing that I have heard of is that it was last poem by Ibn e Insha, last song sung by Ustad Amanat Ali Khan and last performance by Asad Amanat Ali Khan and three of them died in young age :(
Maham yes you need to hear it again n again , and you ll understand it. Its simple poetry but have hidden deep meanings.
Another poem of Ibne Insha , Ek baar kaho tum meri ho, is one of my favs. Ahmed Jahanzeb has sung it really well :)
The national song Ae Watan Pyaray Watan by Ustad Amanat Khan is bestestest national song ever.
