Ranbir Kapoor has reportedly turned down a film with Shah Rukh Khan, saying he prefers single hero films.
Interestingly, the film is being produced by Karan Johar, a close friend of Khan.
Ranbir declined, even though the film had a mind blowing script, because he didn’t want to get eclipsed by Khan.
Ranbir is cool with a one off project that features an ensemble cast, like Rajneeti, but isn’t comfortable being pitted against Khan, who has a very large and dedicated fan following.
“While Ranbir respects Shah Rukh’s success and talent, he is still not ready to take up the challenge of being seen with him on screen as yet. The day Ranbir feels he can match up to King Khan, he will do a film with him,” a source told TOI.
