its too long for my to post it, the char. limit wont allow it..pls go and read…

there is absolutely nothing worng with celebrating milad-e-mustapha :saw: the holy prophet :saw: himself used to observe fast on the day he was born in order to thank allah eizo wajal.

it’s very easy to term it a innovation when all muslims do {1’s who celebrate it} is thank allah for provided them with a just leader and thank allah for being part of the ummah of rasool-ullah :saw:

anyways there r 2 types of bidah: 1} bidah-e-hasana {good bidah} and bidha-e-dalala {bad bidah} and celebrating milad-un-nabi :saw: is bidah-e-hasana.

I didn’t know there was some good bidah also?

On the authority of the Mother of the Faithful, Umm Abdullaah, `Aaishah , who said that the Messenger of Allaah , said, "Whoever introduces to our matter (religion) that which is not a part of it, will have it (his innovation) rejected." [al-bukhari & Muslim]

In another narration for this Hadeeth, the Messenger said,

"Whoever commits an act which is not a part of our matter (religion), will have it (his act) rejected." [Muslim]

Nothing mentioned about an innovation being good or bad - ALL innovation is rejected according to this Hadith.

At any rate, best to stay well clear from any manner on innovation in Islam. You commit no harm by not doing an innivation, even a so-called "good" innovation, and certainly avoid sinning by staying away!

good innovation {bidah-e-hasana} isn’t “SO CALLED” by any means watsoever… i follow the hanfia school of though {fiqh} which is the teachings of hazrat imam abu hanifa :rehm: we were taught bidah had 2 forms, so i mentioned them…

isnt taraavih considered a good bid’a?

quoting from another thread:

Sahih Bukhari Volume 3, Book 32, Number 227:

'Abdur Rahman bin 'Abd ul-Qariy said, "I went out in the company of 'Umar bin Al-Khattab one night in Ramadan to the mosque and found the people praying in different groups. A man praying alone or a man praying with a little group behind him. So, 'Umar said, ‘In my opinion I would better collect these (people) under the leadership of one Qari (Reciter) (i.e. let them pray in congregation!)’. So, he made up his mind to congregate them behind Ubai bin Ka’b. Then on another night I went again in his company and the people were praying behind their reciter. On that, 'Umar remarked, 'What an excellent Bid’a (i.e. innovation in religion) this is…

dude every biddah is dalala, there is no biddah tul hasna…
secondly, if you can bring an authentic hadith that tells us that prophet :saw: fasted on the day he was born, by allah, i will fast on that day too and will invite others to do it aswell..but otherwise, it is a biddah which must be shunned…in matters of ibadah, every thing is wrong until proven correct…

O come on dude! u sunnis do believe that you should fast on the day of Ashura. According to Sh. Abdul Qadir Jilani “Is Din Roza Rakhnay Se Eik Saal Keh Gunnah Muaf Ho Jatey Hain”

Following is a scanned page taken from the urdu edition of his (Sh. Abdul Qadir Jilani) book Ghaniyat’ Altalibeen. According to him Rasulallah was born on the day of Ashura.???

i dont know about shah abdul qadir jilini, if he was an alim, great, but the fact is i take my orders from rasul of allah :saw:…and rasul of allah DID fast on ashura, so i fast on that day, and he said that if i am alive on the day of 9th next year i will fast too, but he passed away before that, so i fast on 9th too, …thats it…there is no hadith that says he fasted on his birthday…

I think abdul Kadir sahab was an arab scholar whose “URS” and “MELAS”
are held in PAK, not in Urbistan where he was from originally I think.
And funny thing is Pakistanis when they travel for his urs, maaar bhee
jateeee heee. accidents mee. Afsoos.

Allah hum per Reham karreee.

Sayyiduna Abu Qataadah :razi: reports that Rasulullah
:saw: was asked as to why he :saw: would fast on Mondays. He :saw: replied, ‘That is the day in which I was born.’ (Sahih Muslim).

he would fast on mondays often, not on 12 rabi ul awwal…so we should fast on mondays if we can…however he never mentioned 12 rabi ul awwal in any regard and the sahabas never did anything special on that day either and they love him more than we even can…

The Sahabah (raa) are the best generation of Muslims and the closest to the Sunnah of the Prophet , yet because of their clear understanding of Islam and Message, they never held any event remotely resembling a celebration of the birth, life, or death of Muhammad .

We should ask ourselves why is it that they never did something like this yet we continue to perform this action thinking that it is a part of Islam and a duty on us?

Is it that the Sahabah didn't love the Prophet ,** or were ignorant about the importance of such an event, or is that we are so defeated in our mentality that if the Christians celebrate the so called birthday of Isa (as) then we Muslims can better that by celebrating the birthday of Muhammad .** This is a great insult to Islam and to Muhammad if we try to practice our deen in the footsteps of those whom Allah has called the 'Dal-leen', those who are completely lost. Rather, we should look to the Quran and Sunnah and understand the duties that Allah has placed upon us and then fulfill them in the way Muhammad taught us. This is the true love for Allah and his Messenger and it is what will carry weight on the Day of Judgment.

Re: Innovation of Prophet’s birthday

just chill dude, there are a lot worse things someone could be doing than honoring the prophet (s). can’t you see the world around us is falling apart and you want to actually prevent this?

according to mufti ibrahim desai, celebrating birthday is wrong cuz no shahaba and prohet himself did tht...so in my opinion it is wrong

no sahabi or the prophet posted on this forum usmanjunooni.

:rotato:

bud’ prophet mohammed :saw: were born on 12 rabi-ul-awaal. the day was monday, so consequently prophet mohammed :saw: fasted on their birthday every year to thank allah sub’hana wa tallah for sending them upon this earth!
