Salam, two of my blog posts on Muharam, the first is of last night’s majlis and matam the night dedicated to Hazrat Abbas (as).
Two young men fainted during masayab of hazrat Abbas. It reminded me of when I was in the courtyard of Hazrat Abbas’s haram for the previous Arbaeen (Chehlum) and this young arab matami dasta came and while calling out to Abal Fazl one of the men fainted. As Maulana Nasir Abbas said, " yeh hazaaron log , yeh sara majmaHussain ke tanhai ka sadqa hay".
It is also in part a tribute to the two shaheeds of karachi.

The second Blog is about the millions (21 million) that go marching to karballa for Arbaeen ,walking whether it takes them 3 days from Najaf and Kaizmayn or 17 days from Hilla.True Devotion. There were unbelievable scenes of people walking: children,elderly, mothers with infants barely 2 3 days old, with children in makeshift prams out of crates and ropes,any means used to go to Karballa walking and not because they couldn’t afford the transportation fare.In love.
