Re: Ingrown hair

yes it is the best way. I agreee...

Re: Ingrown hair

Ok i shall do that on regular basis then,Thank you!

Re: Ingrown hair

You must moisturise...religiously!

When the skin is moisturised, it's softer allowing the hairs to poke through.

Re: Ingrown hair

yes...ex foliate and moisturize.....

Re: Ingrown hair

Though been doing it for 2 weeks now, couldn't see any improvement yet. infact it left small black dots type scar. :-(

Re: Ingrown hair

I get that around my elbows as well. i epilate my arms every 2 weeks and get a few ingrowns.. i find that if I scrub my arms with a mixture of almond oil and sugar, it helps quite a bit.. it doesn't clear everything up though. Anyone have any recommendations for a good scrub/exfoliator? I know there's one by the brand called fresh but not sure if its worth getting.

Because of this problem, I tend not to wear even 3/4 sleeves because the black dots are kind of embarrassing :S How do you girls manage to get smooth arms even with the hair removal??

Re: Ingrown hair

exfoliate. you can make your own scrub with lemon juice, honey and grounded oats or you can use brown or white sugar, and almond oil or any other oil if you want. i usually do it once a week or so.

Re: Ingrown hair

If you have the patience, stop shaving as a mean of hair removal. I started doing laser personally and my skin's condition has improved dramatically. There's also the Tria - at home laser now which is FDA approved, it is expensive but it really worked wonders for me and I can do it at home without going to a salon every time.

If that's not an option for you, maybe consider waxing? You can do this at home too. I wouldn't recommend it for the face, but for legs and arms, it's better and you get longer days without hair.

Re: Ingrown hair

I once had ingrown on arm (not forearm ) that was in winter i daily use to put a lot of moisturiser and vaseline too that went off in around 3 weeks but these around elbow are way rigid. :smack:

I’m thinking of dry brushing though. :teary1:
