You can’t make pulao without saunf.
It’s used in the making of the yakhni.

Mostar , the javetri and the others you mentioned have a bit of a specific taste and they arent as commonly used or liked as the three I suggested above

Mom uses it for pulao

I use it when I make meethi roti sometimes…it gives suchhhhhhhh an awesome flavor!

I use it in achari chicken or achari sabzi. Love fennel on its own especially when it’s all bhooni hui.
