Re: Ingredient : Curry leaf
So I used Curry leaf in daal , after reading the comments here , and dear lord, it did come out fabulous , really good taste . Thanks guys for sharing the tip.
Most meat here in the UK , specially Lamb has a very strong smell to it. Despite the usual methods to reduce the smell , it can still be a hassle. So I asked around and found out that if you dry the curry leaves and then powder them fine, use a couple of pinches to marinate the meat. I did that and it did significantly reduce the smell in the meat ..

You can add to your pulao as well - makes a big difference!
Re: Ingredient : Curry leaf
I use curry leaves in a lot of (indian) veggie recipes - dal, sambar, bisibele bhaat, poha (snack from western India), upma, kadhi, dal dhokli.
Growing up we had a curry leaf tree in our garden. I guess that made my mom use curry leaves a lot more than normal ![]()
