How am I gonna xplain to a kid in 2nd grade that Gonna is not correct inglish. GOING TO is the right thing. And he insists that Gonna is correct :grumpy:

Imagine when he gets into senior grades and writes essays…

“mmm .. so yeah .. we was at the zooz, with all them animals, very purtty lookin things, monkeys were kinda perky .. overall twaz KhooooLLL”

And while I was in school, my abba jee used to stuff GRAMMER down my throat, from Wren & Martin and the Damn Nesfield (Have any of you heard the names ? :halo: ).

We had to know all the tenses, parsing, active passive, sub-ordinate and principal clause, gerunds, infinitives and participals :mad: or we would get ANDAA in english.

our old man (ShareefooN ki zaban main unhain Abba Jee kehtay hain) used to spend hours with us after school. He was a firm believer in “Spare the rod and spoil the child” :crying: - He would have nothing of this crap. English had to be impeccable - the essays that we used to write for him, had to be perfect literary works of art.

I am good in english. It is because i am learning english. I advice you to use proper english every time you speak or write. English is the national language of England. They are good people. English is also national language of Austrailia. But they speak funny english. They always say 'Hey myte ! whach ya doin in ma bush :cb:
