Cost of the project is $13 billion with capacity of 4500MW. We have wasted 40 years in Kala Bagh Dam debate as Tarbela Dam completed in 1974. We need Hydel power to balance our energy mix and an irrigation reservoir for agro based economy of Pakistan. Tarbela Extension 4 ( 1400MW) will be ready by Dec 2017 and Tarbela Extension 5 (1400MW) will be in national grid by April 2018 also.
