Hey ppl,
I have to make an informative speech for my communications class..but i don’t know what to do it on..i was thinking to talk abt a famous person..but don’t know who..any suggestions on what i should do my speech on??? Plzzz!!
this speech requires visual aids too, so any ideas for a visual aid along with a speech topic would be extremely appreciated :slight_smile:

for visual aids (if you are doing some famous figure)

  • make a website
  • Presentation Boards
  • short films
  • make handouts (or brochures)
  • interview someone (or prepare some question and answers and ask your friends to ask those questions to you to make is interactive and fun)
  • fun quiz

other ideas are

  • power points
  • skits
  • prototypes (once i made a 3D structure of pyramids and showed comparison between two main protagonists of two dramas) (in another presentation i took plaster and made my own sink...we have to redesign sink/washbasin)

ps. decide on the topic you are doing, i am sure there are plenty of experts exist here who may help you to make your Informative speech, an exciting one :biggthumb

hey thanks!! those are some great ideas! i really like the online schooling one. seems interesting. and for the visual aid i can use a graph showing how many Americans are enrolled in online classes or something.
what about famous ppl? any ideas?

And why was noodle banned?

oh..i was taking speech last semester andd i sooo remember doing this..
hmm..we had a list of topics tht we could pick from; one topic per person kinda thing and they were abt all of these little events that happened in the past, longgg story short i did it on Million Man March

I had to make one in public speaking, my topic was dome of rock, its significance for all the 3 religions. Everyone found it pretty interesting. You can find appropriate visuals and text. The 2nd one I did was on Anorexia. There are many topics you can choose from, just see what you find interesting, it can be something from another class that you find interesting. Make a powerpoint or use some video clip…

Thanks everyone! well at first i thought of doing it on increasing college costs..but its seems like a pretty boring topic and i couldn't find a lot of useful info on that....so i changed my mind and decided to do it on indian fashion..since i already have written a report on it :D afterall, my major is fashion merchandising :D

i did my informative speech on ramazan, because i didn't had much time to prepare my speech so i thought i should make it over something i am familiar too, it require less research.
