iam on h1 myself...according to the consulates website..they proff that i am living in usa legally....so what should i send....notice of approval from ins stateing about my h1 approval....original??????...i definately dont want to lose that....

i contacted the head guy at the consulate in chicago since it is the closet one to me here in MI....here is what he said regarding the requirements and documents..........

Renewal of Expired Passport:

· Complete Form-A for applicants above 12 years; Form B for below 12 years (visit www.embassyofpakistan.org for Form A & B). (signatures and thumb impression (left-male, right-female in black ink)

· 4 Current Photographs (light blue background, not more than 6-months old); One photograph to be notarized if sending by mail.

· Original computerized national ID card (CNIC) or computerized national ID card for overseas Pakistanis (NICOP). In case of its absence, old ID card in original or notarized copy and application for NICOP/CNIC for restricted validity passport.

· Renewal fee $46 for ordinary (14 work days) or Urgent $120 (5 work days) payable in Cashier check / US Postal Money order to the Consulate General of Pakistan. All fees are non-refundable.

· Expired passport in original with copy 1-4 pages

· Proof of resident in US (Original or notarized copy of green card /valid US visa or driving license)

· Applicant under 18 years of age should provide registration FORM-B of NIC.

· The use of Express Mail is recommended for all deliveries. Self addressed prepaid envelope should be included if sending by mail. (Use USPS Express Mail ONLY for urgent items. We DO RECEIVE envelopes through FedEx, UPS, DHL and Airborne Express, but we CANNOT SEND return envelopes through them. Kindly ensure that return envelopes are of USPS only). Kindly note that the Consulate shall not be responsible for loss of documents in the mail.
