I was talking to my family and the prices of every day groceries are ridiculously high. Even high by american standards.
$1 for 1 dozen eggs
$1 for 1 liter milk => $2 per gallon of milk
525 Rs for 1 kg lamb
140 rs for 1 kg chicken
Even freakin daal is Rs 210 per kilo
This is beyond frustrating and cruel. Why isn’t the government doing anything about these heartless food smugglers?
During the military era, we got a lot of foreign aid/ subsides to bring down the prices so the food smuggling didn’t impact anyone, but now it’s just CRIMINAL!! we certainly can’t wait for Uncle sam to attack another country so we can be it’s willing ally and get aid in return to bring down the prices. we have to find a permanent solution ,i-e identify the food smuggling criminals and give them the severest punishment possible. uff i am just so frustrated right now!!
