What happened to this channel - is it still up and running? Weren’t they supposed to expand to the US at some point? Man, they are slow. Their website doesn’t even come up.

They seemed to have improved a little recently ever since Atiqa Odho took up the post of program director. Still they arent upto the mark. Improving gradually though.

Indus is certainly better than ARY and probably even GEO (if you don't care about news that much). But the best pakistani channel in my opinion has to be AAJ. While i was in Pakistan this summer, AAJ definitely seemed to be the best channel hands down. Good programming, good news coverage, good everything. Also they don't shove news down you throat every half an hour which was a good break from almost all the other paki channels (ESPECIALLY GEO)

Indus Tv in it's first year was undoubtedly one of the MOST entretaining channels of Pakistan. It had variety of programmes, some very nice drama serials, sports shows, quiz shows, showbiz news, horror dramas etc
I don't know what the hell happened to them that they suddenly stopped all the talkshows, showbiz programmes, sports shows etc and instead they put on kids shows " Nick Jr" for about 3-4 hours, then some useless Indian shows, flashback on Indian old movies, tribute to Indian actors and actresses of 1950's 60's etc etc etc.
In short, it's hardly a Pakistani entertainment channel now and is no way as good as it was couple of years ago. Indus Music is a good channel though.
AAJ is indeed a very good channel but i hate their stupid time updates every 15 minutes.

It gets annoying especialy if you are watching something, like lets say a talk show, and they aprublty show this stupid time check and once they resume the show again, you have to watch 5 seconds of crap that you have aready seen before the timecheck.
But besides that, AAJ is by far the best channel. Their production value seems to be high and instead of just aiming for a certain demographic (like HUM TV or w/e) they have a wide variety of shows that mostly cover every demogrpahic.
BTW, assuming that you do live in Australia, do u get those channels down there too?

mysterious guy, the channels you mentioned are all broadcasted on ASIASAT 3!! ARY & GEO sony ki dish par aatay hain i.e. PANAMSAT 7,10!! when you get that, u will get HUMTV for free too. the star tv channels including star plus and star sports and Sony Entertainment TV are all broadcasted from PANAMSAT but with subscription.

INDUS MUSIC and INDUS....a new channel by the same group...(basically indus vision, indus plus and news combined).....are both getting launched in the USA (Dish Network), Canada (Rogers Cable), and Europe (SKY) like in the next 2 months. I have a friend that works there and he was telling me that these guys are in final talks. They will also be like first paki channel on broadband....www.planetvu.com

Are you sure about that? And any news as to how it will be available in Canada? I hope it ATN or whatever doesn’t buy the rights to show those channels.
