Industrial And Manufacturing Engineering?

The programme that I have made into at NED is IME. How does this branch of engineering compare with others in the job market? Do you think I should go for it or should I go for Electronics Eng from the Usman Institute of Technology, Karachi?

As somebody who teaches Operations Management, I think you can make a very gainful and rewarding career out of IME. In addition to studying engineering analysis techniques for systems implementation, you’ll gain specialized knowledge and skills in the mathematical, physical, and social sciences.

It paves your way into higher management positions since Industrial Engineers have an improved propensity towards business ideas such as cost benefit analysis, project management, and risk and return portfolios.

I’d say stick with it! It’ll be a very rich experience.
In retrospect, I shoudld’ve opted for Industrial Engineering myself!

Its a nice major, and I had a close friend from Pakistan who graduated in dec with Bachelors in IME (took him 6 years ;)) but in the end got a nice job in the US, 70K per year at a motor company in detroit...
