anybody going?..is it on the 28th? i dont have PTV or geoTV so i dont know where it is and what artists (lol if u can call them that) are coming…i missed the Brooklyn mela and I just wanna get my hands on some greasy and spicy chappli kababs yum!

i am planning on going...went to the india day one yesterday..SO crowded and the lines were so long we walked over to curry hill and got food from there rather than stand in line for 45 min under the sun..

^ wht are you talking about? It was great. people were lined up thousands strong..dancing and siht to songs...food and festivitie were pretty good too. Best one yet.

lol there will be fat punjabi men on stage screaming "pakistan…ZINDABAD! " at the top of their lungs…a dancer with long crazy hair…some bay-surri singer singing in punjabi ofcourse…music that gives u a headache…some political no-body’s trying to say ‘look at me …im all that’…lotsa desi gurlz with saltnpeppa highlights and thick lipgloss…, desi guys that stand in one corner trying to look ‘cool’ while staring at every other girl that passes by(especially getting over-xcited when a group of girls passes by)…desi uncles and aunties observing all this and esp the girls who dare to come in tight jeans, and going ‘tauba tauba!’…a loooooooong line in front of McDonald’s bathroom for girls trying to check their makeup…, men shaking their fat bellies thinking no one can bhangra like them…some women trying to dance but not sure how much to move lol…, hijabi girls gossipping abt the girl in tight jeans…but everyone will tolerate this for the best part…

Went today...
The pakistan parade was over much quicker than the indian one BUT the mela was much better IMO...less crazy, more stalls to check out and much better food!

amelie....u went? how was it....my friend told me the paki group 'JAL' was there but i didnt believe him as he probably was bluffing and teasing me.....i missed it...i slept late and then i had a toothache.... :(

We got there around 2ish..too late for the parade and too early for the stage show..well there was some people on stage but it was to quote you " fat punjabi men on stage screaming "pakistan......ZINDABAD! " at the top of their lungs.."
We had to leave for a meeting with friends...and came back afterwards at 6 and it was over...:)
