This stuff has been said and rejected for the last 60 years. We may have to blame the “rote learning” style in the subcontinent. Every young puppy starts repeating the argument just like a parrot. 60 years have gone by and we are still stuck in the same stuff about our made up histories.
lol you are funny man why should pakistan want to join confideration at the first place and woh bhi india kay saath, haha yea munh aur malika masoor ki daal,
abhey chal side pay ho.
If Pakistan is the one that is preventing peace, why is India the country that rejects outside mediation? Pakistan has always been open to anyone neutral party’s help, such as the UN, in settling the issue, but India is the one which refuses to allow the kind of third-party mediation that has settled countless other disputes.
Third party mediation got Israel to withdraw from Sinai. Third party mediation got Israel to recognise the PLO as the PA.
Third party mediation has produced some results towards solving the problems of the Palestinian problem.
On the other hand, in the Indian subcontinent India has no interest in peace and is therefore stubbornly refusing third party mediation, instead prolonging the conflict through insistence on bilateral talks only despite the proven track record of third party mediation.
Well that is true at the final stages of the conflict resolution in this case. There is no doubt Pakistan and Bharat have to solve and respect mutual issues.
However Maddies points are valid as well. If two parties have not been able to resolve some issues for 60 odd years, then we ought to have third party.
BTW Bharat is not totally against the third party idea. Bharat agreed to Ruskie mediation in post 65 war. UN was involved as third party in water treaty as well. So third party can certainly help to chart out a general course and then the two cousins can get to specifics.
I am hopeful about the future though. Now that US wields tremendous clout in Bharati politics, we may have Uncle Sam as the mediator. Recent actions like pulling forces back from the border clearly depicted the force behind Uncle Sam’s muscles.
Indians should stop acting like the big brother and let go of this dream of Akhand Bharat because it will never come true.
India is not a nation and it never will be, in fact the name India/Hind/Hindi was given to you by Muslims and the British. Bharat is a joke.
As much as secularists may disagree a Muslim cannot live amongst non-Muslims and keep them happy yet not compromise any tenant of Islam, if it’s Christians or Jews it makes a bit easier but Muslims and Pagans are two complete opposites, good political relations and peace are one thing but unity, never, sacred Muslim blood was shed for Pakistan and it isn’t going to go to waste.
I think Indian stance has been very clear - we will not let any part of India separate.Once Pakistan understands that, maybe we can resolve the stalemate & move forward with cordial relations.Otherwise you will keep making mistakes like you did in 1999 & get your a$$ kicked
Sure, thats what they teach you in the madrassas…you can cry yourself hoarse about it, send as many soldiers (freedom fighters ) but that aint gonna change a thing.
Kashmir is & will remain an integral part of India.
