Depends on situation. Sometimes individual sometimes collective. But never at the cost of others that should be the guiding principle.

I think everyone thinks about his own benefit first but again it depends on the situations requirements. Sometimes it's better to make decisions that would be beneficial for everyone around you.

You can add lots of value in other's life if you give your benefit a priority, as long as its not at others expense.
If I watch out for my health, my safety, my well being then I become a healthy and secure care taker of my family.
Thinking of others is a very good thing but dont become a sacrificial lamb all the time
