Yeah true, the title of the thread is a bit misleading. But you can’t expect him to get the pole position on his debut. 9 is extremely respectable aswell.

Narain was handed an additinal advantage just before the start of the race when Kimi Raikonen (positioned immediately in front of Narain) stalled his engine just before the start, forcing a 2nd formation lap and demoting himself to the back of the grid.
This meant that when the drivers lined up for the start again, Narain had a clear slot in front of him. Sadly he failed to take advantage as he had a lousy start. From his starting position in 12th place, he was down to 17th position even before reaching the first corner. Even his team mate overtook him before that first corner.
I think Narain still has some way to go but I am sure he will do well in the seasons to come.
