This report does not mention anything about the anti-pak slogan in election or street demos ..... why would you bring that up !!!!!!!
Even the title is misleading .... the article talks about the agressive diplomatic measures employed by India ... so is that " irresponsible behaviour" ......

Well if you want to comment on the elections then you post the link and then disuss it … the BBC article does not mention anything about it …
U getting your “thingies” mixed up …
As for the article … here is something which says it all
Pressure is mounting from India for Pakistan to take action itself against the militants that may have been involved in the Mumbai attacks.
But the authorities in Islamabad may doubt the capacity of their own security forces to carry out such orders.
And by giving in to Indian pressure Pakistan might risk deeper civil strife at home
The heading of the topic should have been … " Pakistan - Can they do it ?" … but BBC preferred to go with " Pakistan’s dilemma as pressure mounts" … so why is India irresponsible … come again

I was hoping you will click the 2nd link (Indian express), anyway here is the excerpt:
"Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Wednesday warned India’s “neighbours” not to mistake its desire for friendship with them for its weakness and said the country would give terrorists a befitting reply. “We will not bow before terrorists. We will give a befitting reply,” Sonia told an election rally here right on the Line of Control."
If it is not using the current situation in rallies then what is?
Kaptaan saab, Sonia Gandhi has to be seen being tough against Pakistan since there is a perception in the country that Congress (who is in power both in center and state) is toothless when comes to dealing with terrorist.
But these are rhetorics and you should be worried more about what Pranab or Antony or Chidambaram says than Mrs. Gandhi as she only suggest the policies but is not directly involved in running the govt.

So you are saying that India should not give a befitting reply to the terrorists.

Well, whether she is doing it to save their reputation or some other reason but do you not agree that she is using it for election campaigns? I would think this should be of the concern for people like Seminole who accused Pakistanis of being insensitive towards the victims of Mumbai mayhem.
So you are saying that India should not give a befitting reply to the terrorists.
Please read again, I didn't suggest any of that, but to say that during a "rally" is a different thing altogether. She could've held a press conference and then say it instead of using it as election tool.
No no no, Settled for West Pakistan and East Pakistan.
Then for Pakistan and Bangladesh --- that's about it!
On the other hand, people have been playing with india for centuries and they will continue to. Sooooo, forget about the 'akhand bharat' forever. Settlements to follow - Naagaland and Khalistan :)

Well i guess you have been out of Pakistan for long ...... but you can check on this forum on what is happening in Pakistan ....... some areas are already out of Pakistan's control ......
Regarding Khalistan ...... with active "support" from then Pakistan government ..... the sepratists were sent packing ..... similar is the case with Nagaland ..... the Indian government has settled the issue with the sepratists there and they are part of the polity now.
Hope this enlightens you.
Re: India's irresponsible behavior continues!
I don't think India will attack these terror camps in Pakistan eventhough there is evidence as well as a a lot of sabre-rattling going on. Such a foolhardy step would screw the economy of India which is already seeing a slowdown. Only thing it should do to reform investigating agencies, Police etc.
Pakistan on the other hand is being stretched in different directions by four power centres; Govt, ISI, Army and Jehadis or whatever you call them. President Zardari himself expressed his inability in reigning these terrorist outfits. (He himself is a victim of terror). Is there a way out for Pakistan to get out of this precarious situation..I don't know.

Why shouldn't she use the current situation in rallies? I see nothing wrong with the statement you quoted, it seems very appropriate. Nothing incendiary about them whatsoever.
Indian politicians have every right to say (wherever they choose) that they will not bow before terrorists. Very appropriate to also say a desire for friendship is not a sign of weakness.
Re: India's irresponsible behavior continues!
BJP, the Indian GOP. Same tactics, same dirty politics, same blame-game and boogey-man chase. An inside job gone wrong.
And if Americans want to appease the Indian point of view and further illuminate their hypocrisy, then be it. The entire "non-biased" world knows the truth, others are acting like a ostrich with the head in sand because reality hurts ego and the "I can't be wrong" mantra.

Goes to prove that Indians did it for upcoming elections.
