India's ailing air force at risk as Pakistan, China modernise

Re: India's ailing air force at risk as Pakistan, China modernise

Such an overtly pessimistic article, lol.

India lacks the infrastructure to maintain such a large army and thus results in inefficiencies within the armed forces.

India should improve its logistics which clearly hampered them in the 1965 war. And it was brute numbers that got them through.

I suppose Pakistan is far more diverse in terms of weaponry and training. Also can't forget the gold medal at Cambria in 2011 (Wales).

Re: India's ailing air force at risk as Pakistan, China modernise

India has nothing to fear of Pakistan... Compared to China however, India never had the edge to begin with, so why the author is suddenly so concerned with losing the edge now is a mystery to me.

Re: India's ailing air force at risk as Pakistan, China modernise

Can Pakistan beat India in a non-conventional war? No.

Can India successfully invade Pakistan? I doubt it.

Re: India's ailing air force at risk as Pakistan, China modernise

That Pakistan could even challenge India and not be defeated outright, considering the size difference, speaks volumes.

Re: India's ailing air force at risk as Pakistan, China modernise

Pakistan simply doesnt have the resources to sustain a war longer then a few months.

Re: India's ailing air force at risk as Pakistan, China modernise

That is pretty much what it comes down too.

I think i read somewhere Pakistan only has enough ammunition to fight a war for about 40-50 days.

Pakistan will always hold its own in a war.

Re: India's ailing air force at risk as Pakistan, China modernise

And If I'm not mistaken you're talking about Pakistan here right??

I have been holding myself from saying this, but I guess sometime it is okay to say stuff like this . I may have not been an active member at PA/WA for many months now, but I do read every post/thread here. and just wanted to tell you that your obsession with Pakistan is really creepy, and whenever there is a tragedy in Pakistan and you pretend to feel the plight of Pakistanis. It is pretty evident that you are just merely faking it and people like you never really want to see a progressive and peaceful Pakistan. In other thread You make nonsensical claims that Pakistan unity thrives on Indian hatred... when the reality is far off from it. How corrupt and spineless our leadership maybe... but their election campaigns do not run on anti-India agenda, our media does not run a cheap media trial of their neighbour and accuse them of everything without evidence, Unlike you we own good and bad of our country. we do not become so blind in the name of nationalism and patriotism that we overlooked wrongdoings of our government and live in a bubble that we are saints and have no records of human rights violations. The amount of time you spend on watching Pakistani news channels and reading newspapers. If only half of that time you could spend on your own country and it's innumerable issues, maybe it will be more worthwhile, Also, one last thing, you do realize if a Pakistani had manifested the same resentment and openly criticized India on an Indian discussion foum, he wil not stick around as long as you've on this forum.. This itsef is a proof of how tolerant were in comparison to our neighbours. I'm glad and proud of the fact that we're more accepting and tolerant, but don't take advantage of it. On one hand you claim to feel the pain of Pakistanis, and on other hand, you laugh at affairs of Pakistan and wish to see more destruction! This hypocrisy so annoying. Continue to criticize Pakistani govt as much as you want but don't pretend to feel the pain of Pakistanis.. because clearly you don't so don't pretend like you do.. is hypocrisy se perhaiz kerein zara aap tu behter hoga!!!!

Re: India's ailing air force at risk as Pakistan, China modernise

Delusional much?

If I had a dollar for every Indian that thought Pakistan wouldnt last 20 years, I would have over a Billion dollars. Perhaps you havent been keeping up, but you Indians have been making this idiotic prediction about Pakistan from the very day Pakistan was founded.

You know, if there is one truth, its that people are generally very bad at predicting the future. So here you are singing the praises of your country. Im sure your convinced that India is going to do every great thing imaginable... But there is also great possibility that India will accomplish absolutely nothing and end up being exactly where it is and all the prognosticators will simply move on to the next big thing and India will continue to lurk on the outer periphery. Not quite poor but far from developed. Like wise, its also possible that Pakistan, despite your negativity will surpass India and leave you in envy. God knows we have defied negative predictions for decades.

Bottom line, dont count your chickens till their hatched.

Re: India's ailing air force at risk as Pakistan, China modernise

Well said.

Its telling that Pakistan bashing and war mongering gets votes in India, while peace and normalization of relations with India win votes in Pakistan.

Pakistanis will for the sake of being polite, claim that hostility is mutual. But in reality, I think the hostility is one sided and it comes from India.

Re: India's ailing air force at risk as Pakistan, China modernise

There are a lot of things that have to be taken into consideration beyond numerical superiority. Terrain, preparedness, asymmetric warfare...

Indian casualties will be extremely high if they ever try any sort of adventurism. I mean if Iraq was a quagmire for the Americans, imagine Pakistan for the Indians.

War with Pakistan will not end well for India even if they get the upper hand. Wars rarely produce lasting peace.

Don't know the real one, but Gupshup war has stated :D

Afterburners at speed!! Flying by the directors now :D

Re: India's ailing air force at risk as Pakistan, China modernise

I got no issues with Indians my friend. But i really do sense a lot of hostility from India towards Pakistan. From Pakistanis athletes being kicked out, to war mongering from your politicians. Really, Indians arent very pleasant towards Pakistanis. On the other hand, Pakistanis go out of their way to welcome Indians. Its sad that despite hospitality of Pakistanis, they are still demonized in India.

Just this forum alone, is really a microcosm of the general attitude Pakistanis have toward Indians.

Another example, look at any India related article on Dawn.com and you will notice the majority of the comments are from Indians. They arent censored at all despite it being a Pakistani paper. Would any Indian outlet be as accommodating toward the Pakistani perspective?

Re: India's ailing air force at risk as Pakistan, China modernise

^ Tamilmani was not too hostile

Re: India's ailing air force at risk as Pakistan, China modernise

Yes, but don't call that soon :P

Re: India's ailing air force at risk as Pakistan, China modernise

Perhaps for the first time in history, Indians recently feel (rightly) they have an upper hand over Pakistan. They are over-excited about it.

You must have heard about the guy who while sitting on the chest of the other and beating the other guy up, was still crying his heart out as well. ;)

Re: India's ailing air force at risk as Pakistan, China modernise

What's the PE ratio of both markets. Which is more valuable. Any of them as valuable as AAPL?

Re: India's ailing air force at risk as Pakistan, China modernise

Determined by the supply and demand situation at PTGN.

Re: India's ailing air force at risk as Pakistan, China modernise

I don't understand their obsession though? Why can't they just live and let live instead of always finding ways to undermine Pakistan and then coming on their high horses saying "whaaa? us and care about Pakistan, please" This obsession should be listed as a mental disorder in the Oxford dictionary. :@:
