Pakistan makes kashmir as much an issue as India makes Pakistan an issue.

comments like, we will wipe Pakistan of the face of the planet and other lame ass quotes like that from Indian leaders just show that they need a "foe" to keep the awaam looking away from internal issues of the country.

Pakistan uses teh same thing with Kashmir. heck look at this pot, as long as educated people of our countries fight like kuttay billian, you think the unparrh Jahil awam will look beoynd the rhetoric and desire for peace? and as long as there is a "foe" thats where they can direct awams attention on that, for the sake of their own power.

You guys can continue your pissing contest on who's right and who's wrong. I guess the government propoganda and brainwashing has gotten to you too :)

we use events from past to justify our future? how lame is that. the real courage in fixing the mistrust and working for a better tomorrow. Otherwise it just seems like the lame tribal warfare which goes on for 15 generations because dude1 from tribe A stole the mukh of dude2 of tribeB.

I think the nations and the countries, need to grow up. and it starts with their people.

So what do you suggest, we give up Kashmir? I wish it was that easy Fraudia, trust me, its not.

spock

no go back and read what I posted. at minimum when educated ppl of two countries talk, they should stop their usual pissing contests and lameness and engage in constructive dialogue. Approach the situations with an open mind and instead of poking and prodding each other with the weaknesses and issues each others' country faces, we can do a lot more by discussing things in a mature manner.

Can you or I solve problems single handedly, No, but if we try to be a part of the solution instead of part of the problem, hopefully things will change at some point in time, when there is a critical mass of people on both sides of the border who want to end this lameness.

I stand by my point that both countries use each other as a focus point to divert attention from serious internal questions. The awam goes along with this game.

Thw way things are, if Kashmir problem is solved, I am certasin both sides will find some other issue to argue on. The overall climate of relations between botyh countries needs to be changed substantially. The example of poor relatiuons between the 2 countries and their ppl can be seen on any Indian or Pakistani website.

Why always discussion between Indo-Pakis always move in circles ..

By the way I am feeling so much at home here. In www.pak.org and open Pakistan Affiars Section today I see these articles which are India centered. (Forget about world affairs which is already India affairs)

An Indian Joke...
Indians only please!

Indians want...
India-Iran pact: new dangers for Pakistan?

India - most imp. country for Pak ??

well rifak, its common sense really, that is probably the biggest problem. With teh history of war and all the other stuff going on. I see the same when I look at Indian papers, Pakistan somehow manages to get on the front page on almost a daily basis.

Having an interest and all is fine, obviously niether Indians or Pakistanis are directly impacted with what goes on in Burkina Faso, Burundi or Lesotho. They do get impacted by what goes on in their region.

we can try and change that interest and discussion into a positive discussion, or keep harping at each others' weaknesses, which seems to be the game played by both sides, in teh govt, in the papers and on websites.
