Indian War Games near Pakistan's border

Over the weekend, the Indian Air Force conducted a massive “realistic war games” exercise along the entire western front (Pakistan), focusing on launching a simultaneous attacks on multiple high-value enemy (Pakistani) targets. The exercise, code named Abhyas, started on Sept. 10 in which a large number of fighter jets, attack helicopters, mid-air refuelers, transport aircraft and UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles) took part.

In contrast, Pakistan is busy fighting the American-made war and has put its army in a never-ending conflict. Instead of resolving the Afghanistan-Pakistan tribal issue, it has adopted, under American pressure, a suicidal path of taking on its own people. The result is soldiers being taken hostage and bomb blasts right in the nerve center of the army in Pakistan. India’s idea is to hit the adversary so hard and mobilize the army so fast that before the world can intervene or the enemy can respond, to give it a big blow to break the backbone of enemy and get a clear advantage.

India is busy conducting war games and our army is busy playing politics. Gen. Musharraf should open his eyes. The man who literally scared the Indians so much during the Agra summit has now become so weak that he cannot even dare to stand against the hypocrisy of an untrustworthy friend such as America. He has been taking steps under the Americans’ “Do-more” mantra which goes against Pakistan’s own interests. Musharraf should start a dialogue with the warring factions in the tribal area. He should not make deals with corrupt politicians. Instead, he should allow a fair and free election in the country and hand over the government to a civilian politician and then focus on increasing Pakistan’s military might which is in very bad shape now.

Re: Indian War Games near Pakistan's border

Yeah, it is rather sad... The Pak Army has lost its way.

Re: Indian War Games near Pakistan's border

The Economy growth is top priority in India; by attacking Pak the Indian economy growth will collapse.

In India, right now the idea is only trade, growth, health, education. Further more, India wants nothing from Pakistan, India is even happy with the part of Kashmir we have - no one really want's "Azad" Kashmir.

The Indian army has to continue doing its excersises, thats their job. To be operationally ready for all eventualities.

Re: Indian War Games near Pakistan's border

I don't think so. Pakistan Army is doing better than that.
They are your smart businessmen geniusly investing dumb public's tax money, they are your politicians, they are your judiciary, they reform your pathetic constitution whenever they find a need and more. So what if they are not an army?

Re: Indian War Games near Pakistan's border

means??

Re: Indian War Games near Pakistan's border

Well m2k, it is simple. Stop taking the billion dollars a year that US gives to Pakistan then do what you want. Lets see how much weaponry you can buy without that money.

Re: Indian War Games near Pakistan's border

i agree with mahlot. im an indian and i feel at this time no one in our country wants war. we are doing well economically and we want to continue with that and a war will definetly push us back (irrespective of the result of war). the military is going for a war game because thats their job. but i can understand the worry shown by the post. such games are going to cause uncomfortability specially when the relations between two are neighbours are bad. i feel sad for pak army for being engaged in operation against it's own people under US pressure. i really hope someday ind and pak can unite and give a hard time to these americans.

Re: Indian War Games near Pakistan's border

what do you mean? indian army was a complete failure against china (1962) and tamil tigers (1987-89). it has shown upper hand only against pakistan so far.

Re: Indian War Games near Pakistan's border

Abhyas in Sanskrit/Hindi/Telugu/Kanada means exercise, what is the code word there

Ditto. We can achieve peace only through dialogue. Both parties need to make compromises.

The Indian Armay adheres to its democratically elected government policies which is to disperse India's hegemony over the entire Sub-Continent. Meanwhile, the Paki army works like an enterprise pimping Pakistan for its perverted and crooked financial interests through nefarious means and swindling. There's a stark difference between the purposes of the two forces.
