Thank you, very much. The right to literary freedom and the freedom of expression should be given to all people, not just those to believe they're correct.
That right is never an absolute...and neccessarily must go with the honesty, if not the responsibility, to face whatever consequences arise from such "free" expression.
Muslims need show Mr. Rushdie no respect, nor even respect what he has written, nor even support the idea that he had every right to express what he did. To suggest we do is tantamount to allowing Mr. Rishdie the right to poke us in the preverbal eye, and then also giving him the right to tell us how we should react in response.
