Footage screened on India TV on Monday and seen by Reuters appeared to show umpires from Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka negotiating deals with under-cover reporters to spot-fix matches.
The channel showed footage of Pakistan’s** Nadeem Ghauri, Nadir Shah** of Bangladesh, part of the International Cricket Council’s international panel of umpires, and Sagara Gallage of Sri Lanka agreeing to give favourable decisions in exchange for umpiring contracts and money.
The ICC said in a statement: "The ICC and its relevant members have been made aware of the allegations made by India TV this evening and calls on the station to turnover any information which can assist the ICC’s urgent investigations into this matter.
“The ICC re-iterates its zero-tolerance towards corruption whether alleged against players or officials. The ICC confirms that none of the umpires named were involved in any of the official games of the ICC World Twenty20 in Sri Lanka.”

Shah also revealed that Pakistani batsman Nasir Jamshed “fixed” matches in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL)

Anyone who holds any hope for the country, is embroiled in one thing or the other. After Mohammed Aamir, it's now Nasir Jamshed. But PCB should look into the matter with full intensity and kick him out if anything about him is fishy. There has to be a zero-tolerance policy for everyone.
Re: Indian TV: Umpires caught agreeing to spot fix
I will comment only once this is proven beyond doubt. Let the ICC investigation run its course
At the moment, these are just rumors or a figment of someone's imagination

So you have already agreed that Jamshed is guilty?
Re: Indian TV: Umpires caught agreeing to spot fix
it is now on cricinfo as well and that is no good…yes cricinfo is also biased but it is not that sensational…nonetheless we shd wait for ICC investigations
Re: Indian TV: Umpires caught agreeing to spot fix
India TV is the crappiest news station ever, anywhere. I would not trust their sting operation results until the evidence is reviewed by ICC/BCCI/PCB etc.
Regardless if it is true or not such allegations should not suffice without concrete evidence. Such serialization bymedia is going to ruin Cricket and allowing such things shows the inadequacy of ICC.
Re: Indian TV: Umpires caught agreeing to spot fix
I saw Nadeem ghouri live. He was on ARY . I m not sure he is guilty or not but surely this duy doesnt have communication skills. He was unable to describe what he wanted to tell . Selection of words was such that he made him self looking guilty.
