^ Ditto, Kaif is hardly an effective Test player.

I think the Indians were more than happy to include Ganguly in the tour to Pakistan, knowing full well that one more failure and it's the end of the road for him.

ganguly is good enough for pakistan. actually it's only 4 people that matter. if Inzy, Dhoni or Sehwag get going, that matters. fourth being afridi.

You say so. For Pakistan, every individual player matters. And above all the ‘team’ matters.

And for Gangi, we shall see. He doesn’t seem to be much in control of his own life. It’s about time he does something.

Now that you mention it, will try hard to grow up.

btw, Kaif is a classic case of player mishandling by the selectors. He has never been given a decent prolonged run in test matches.

Gangu has been given more opportunities than he deserved in the last 2 years. I just can’t understand this sudden love my countrymen have developed for him. These people must have a short memory.

Wrong, I am not supporting Gangu. There are others who should have given chance..
Though Kaif has 8 test matches, with average of 21.. Not Good..........

Dont worry he will be back for ODIs.
I am more surprised about having Parthiv in team. Pak is so close that one can always fly in other wicketkeeper if Dhoni is injured. Instead they should have kept Kaif in team. Also, even if they wanted to take another Keeper then Kartik was better choice. He has done nothing wrong in all the chanced he was given.

Parthiv's test batting average is 31+. He is scoring runs in domestic cricket and his keeping seems to have improved.
My take is that he will be used as a batsman as well in case required

If he has to be used as batsman then why not kaif. He is definitly there as 2nd Keeper.

Yes, he is coming as second keeper to give rest to Dhoni, and as well in batting department he has done better than Kaif in test matches
