In the international Defense production/development India's defense industry and its premiere organization DRDO are a running joke......They have blown so much of Indian exchequers' hard earned money on one failed project after another that would make even Americans and Russian green with envy just on the sheer amount of money they've wasted....
Arjun, LCA, AJT, Akash, Naag, AWACS and etc. have all consumed billions of dollars in R&D over the last 30 years and not a single one of these system is operational.....So lets leave Indian technology where it stands....a colossal drainage of resources in a country that has half the poor of the world.

that coming from a pakistani, once again, is rich. a country run by the army that blows over 50% of its national budget on defence expenditure complaining india spends 4% of its budget on defence.

Dont tell me you believe India spends less than us on the name of R and D. Indian defence budget is a few times more than us.
On the other hand with the amount of money available, we have been making very very good weapons. Al-Zarrar, Khalid, Anza, Al-Talha, JF-17, anti tank missles and many many more.

the indian defence spending is only a bit more than the pakistani spending. the defence money also includes a space program which routinely puts into orbit polar and geostationary satellites both for india as well as other countries. all this when pakistan is seven times smaller and spends just about the same amount, and ends up buying F-16 grade soy beans from uncle sam.
talk of wasting exchequer's hard earned money...

^ That money which Pakistan spends on F-16s is provided by the Americans in the first place, (part of America's $3 billion aid package), in other words Pakistan gets high-tech military weapons for free while the Hindustanis have to lick and lick the yanky backside and all they've been getting is signatures on deals for the last 50 years...

Thats a lie…India’s defence budget is close to $20 bn and it precludes the space program…Furthermore, its growth rate is only less then China among major military powers…

But its space programme has mainly been aimed at harnessing high technology for its population of more than one billion, particularly its rural masses
