Indian soccer team to tour Pakistan
IANS Karachi Nov 20: An Indian soccer team is to tour Pakistan next year and its schedule is to be finalised by the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) in December.The SAFF meeting will be held in Kuala Lumpur on December 6-7.The All-India Football Federation (AIFF) has accepted an invitation to play a series of three matches but the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) wants the number increased to five.
“We have requested AIFF to extend the series to five matches as we wish to hold matches in all the five capital cities of Pakistan - Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar and Quetta,” The News quoted a PFF official as saying on Saturday.PFF senior vice-president, Mr Agha Liaquat Ali will attend the Kuala Lumpur meeting, which will also finalise the schedule of the SAFF Gold Cup tournament to be hosted by Pakistan next year.
