NEW DELHI (Variety) - Indian picture ``Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’’ (The Loving Will Carry the Bride) has broken the local record for a continuous run at a theater.

The Hindi-language romantic comedy, set in London and Europe, has been playing at a Bombay’s Maratha Mandir for 300 weeks since its release in 1995.

The film, which stars Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, marked the debut release of director Aditya Chopra.

It has grossed $25 million since its release, a figure which looks set to be topped by ``Gadar: Ek Prem Katha’’ (Mutiny: A Love Story), which has made $22 million since its bow June 4.
