It seems the number of teams in the world with players of Indian origin is expanding everyday! I know of following teams with players of Indian origin:
India (ofcourse!)
Pakistan
Bangladesh
Sri Lanka
West Indies
Kenya
England
Indians have been going to different parts of the world in search of better opportunities. And mind you there are over a billion of them in India alone. So, it is normal to spot an Indian everywhere.
West Indies doesn't count because people over there have been settled for centuries.
Bangladesh and Pakistan don't count either because they were a one country before.
I don't know much history behind Sri Lanka, but they were eventually part Hindustan at sometime ago.
But yeah teams like Kenya, and Canada are populated with Indians.
If you are going to use that logic then there are so many teams with the origin of England, like Australia, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Westindies, afterall, they all speak English right?
Even most of Indians and pakistanis speek english cummon get life bro ! ..this thread is abt PIO ( People of Indian Origin ) not abt whites and English
I don't think you can consider Pakistanis, Bangladeshis and Sri Lankans as Indians. To say Nasser Hussain is of Indian origin might be correct but you will upset the guy no end. He considers himself pure unadulterated British. More Pakistani origin guys have played for England then Indian origin. Similarly the WI apart from Robin Singh will not look upon them being called Indian or Pakistanis very favourably.
The Kenyan team has players whose origin goes back to both countries. But how far do you take this origin things. The WI guys went there a long time ago and now consider themselves fully WIndians.

You are right Ehsan bhai ! Nasser would not like the idea. But it doesn't matter he likes it or not. Your race is your race and you cant change genes with your choice. Same thing goes for Pakistan, BD and SL. When , one talks about people of Indian Origin, we mean his/her ancestory somehow related to Indian soil/cult.
On the lighter side, did you know, even Musharraf was invited (jokingly by reporters) as a PIO at PIO meet in NYC ;)
Then if you are saying that we should tell by their ancestors, then all the Windies can be Pakistanis as well, because there was no India, Pakistan, Bangladesh when they migrated to the carribeans.
I think the more proper way to define these people would be from subcontinental origin, not just Indian.
