indian or pakistani films?

The last indian movie I ever saw was Border, some 5 years ago.

Need I mention more.
Well, after being abused verbally, and attack relegously (a scene in which they showed a hindu saving Quran Pak while muslim are bombing that house) and getting cursed at(our general being called from a ganda nala of lahore) a seed of hatred toward india and love for my Pakistan was sown in my heart.
That hatred grew each and everytime I heard from some Pakisani friend that they went to watch an Indian film and at the same time love for Pakistan grew 3 times the more.

I dont know what you expected, Indians view us as the enemy. Still, Indian films that insult Pakistan really makes me dislike India even more. But what I hate the most are Pakistanis that watch these films, despite the fact that they are totally anti Pakistan.
On Coney Island, a friend of mine was telling me a local Pak video shop, had an Indian movie poster for a Sunny Deol movie from last year put up in store window... The poster read "Cheeni mahngo ghe, tho Keer deh gai, Kashmir mahngo ghe tho cheer dehnge."
I was so upset, how could a Pakistani store put up such a thing?????
I certainly hope the PAKISTANIS in the area forced them to take it down.

I hear ya Adnan. But look around this board
and see how many topics concerning indian
movie are posted here. These people are
never gonna learn.

Anyway, I live in NY and used to to live in
Brooklyn. Where are you in NY??

I agree that its deplorable how Pakistanis watch anti-Pakistan movies.

Howevever, not all Indian movies are like that, and the work of one team can't be debunked because another team produced a movie that upset you. That just isn't fair.

Quality-wise, SOME Indian films are impressive. Most are commercial nonsense.

Credit should be given where credit is due. Do you praise Pakistani movies, just because they're pakistani, or do you look for good quality first?

I sincerely hope Pakistanis get their act together and start making some good movies, so that the majority of Pakistanis wont have to turn to India for entertainment.

oh puhleaz, kindly cut it out, will ya.
We don't need an attorney to consult Pakistanis into not watchin
anti-PakiIndian movies. Alot of them are already well into it.

I believe that any Pakistani who doesn't watch an anti-Pak
Indian film, doesn't have any right to watch ANY Indian
movie at all. Either be a true Pakistani and not watch any
Indian movie at all or just be on India's side and support them
all the way. Don't call yourself a Pakistan and then say, "oh man
I've boycotted all those anti-pak indian movies." If you wanna
boycott, then boycott every single one of them.

Like wise me. Those hatred filled words from Indian film Border
are still echoing my mind, eventhough it was some 5 years ago.

That movie showed how much Indians hate Pakistanis and that
very day I boycotted every single Indian movie and I'm so glad I did it.

Sunny Deol has done a film not that long ago which was anti Pakistan as well. A lot of Indian films it can be said are anti Pakistan. I reme, ber seeing Fiza and the ending being about how the Muslims had a plan to kill the Muslims. Typical.
I notice Pakistan copies India on all the romance plots and that...it would be nice to see a few films that are about the Muslim version of the war in Kashmir.

Some films however are quite interesting. There is one film i saw with Aamir Khan called Earth which was about the partition which was quite a good film on the partition.
There was a film called Bawandar which i saw recently about a gang rape and how the man was brought to justice. These weren't the typical commerical film but did provide interesting viewing.
It would be nice to see a Pakistan movie on issues like this, partition, castes, rape instead of the typical love triangle movies that Pakistan tends to copy. A more political and social aware Pakistani film industry would be of benefit to Pakistan and it's people.

AOA

Well said Sheikh!
Pakistani film industry needs to do what our drama industry did.
More political and Social type of storylines instead of love and romance junk.
