Indian Muslim majority states are part of Pakistan: JD 11-08-2004

LAHORE: Pakistan will be completed when the Muslim majority states of India would become part of it, said Hafiz Abdul Rehman Makki, Jamaat-ud-Daawa’s (JD) head for political affairs, at press conference on Tuesday.

He said Kashmir was an integral part of Pakistan and Mujahideen were fighting for its liberation, but Muslim states of Hyderabad, Manawarad and Junagarh in India should not be ignored. “These are also the part of Pakistan. They were occupied by India after partition,” he said.

He criticised joint cultural shows by Indian and Pakistani artists and demanded a ban on cultural delegations.

Since it’s obvious after 57 years that no one wants to be with India anymore (including some Hindu states), why can’t the Indians (New Delhi) just grant freedom to the Occupied Lands and end all the Shiv Sena repression?

Ummm.. Hyderabad is not, and has never been, a Muslim majority state (and I should know, since my family is originally from there).

Hyderabad, when an independent nation, consisted of a single Muslim-majority city surrounded by a piece of Hindu-populated countryside the size of Italy. The overwhelming majority of the population of Hyderabad state was and still is Hindu. In fact, today, the majority of the population of Hyderabad the city is also Hindu. It was only the ruling and middle classes that were Muslim in the past.

Same deal with Junagarh - it was a Hindu majority state, and still is Hindu Majority, and was simply ruled by a Muslim prince.

And I assume that the same applies for Manawarad, given the fact that Kashmir is and always has been the only Muslim-majority state that did not join Pakistan.

Good answer, but who could blame Mullah-Aya-Tullah nexus for knowing history. These Mullahs are now the biggest 5th column in Pak politics and the worst possible enemy of the state.

I think the Indian Muslims are too busy "assimilating" into the Hindu society to worry too much about Pakistan.

In our national anthem Jan Gan Man...we sing

punjab, sindh, gujarat, maratha.......so at least we have a legal right over Sindh.
