The difference is none of the other places was trumpeted to be the promised land for muslims. We cannot just say, “Its ok, that other country is worse”. Is it a race to the bottom? As long as we are not at the bottom, we are ok? Something got lost between Allama’s vision and zia ul haq’s implementation. Now pakistan is nether a truly islamic country nor a pure democracy. The powers that be in these two camps carry out vigilante justice, often on the poor and weak. “Well, India is worse” is not really a coherent argument, even if the point is being made by KKF or Southie or any other Indian. Those guys are here coz they care about pakistan not to make you feel bad.

I think this post came after the discussion was directed in that direction. Agree that we are facing difficult times now, but every Pakistani should think before complaining ‘what they have achieved from being citizens of Pakistan and what they done for Pakistan’. I’m sure majority will feel that they have got more than losing. if we have lost something, we have achieved a lot too. There is still a hope that will remain with Pakistanis forever.

BTW, those who prophesied unstable future of Pakistan were not fortune tellers and they could not see that in their life. Those died in their hatred who claimed that Pakistan will not survive for few months.
