2Pak, did I tell you I’m a part time psychologist besides being full time at everything else I do?

Baleya! I know this really cool dude ... his User name is somethin like, ummmm ahh never mind his user name ... he needs professional help .... I tried to get him some enough times but he just doesn't wanna admit that somethin' is wrong with him ... he comes from a very Intellegent family two of his family memebers went to Harvard just because they don't like Indian movies and NOW! he got into Harvard as well based on his qualification that he is clean from Indian movies for the past 8 years ... all you brothers and sisters out there! If you want a bright future and wanna get into Harvard ... SAY NO INDIAN MOVIES!!
Love & Respect

actually 2pak..i dont say that from experience.
But come to think of it..are you sure your parents went to harvard or were they just Hallucinating..! Or...maybe they nicked all your family's money and made a dash for the States..leaving their bros and sis in the lurch....hmmmm...could it be>

ok i can't read all these posts..plus it seems like personal arguments are happening....as usual

I like Indian movies...they are fun..3 hour fantasy films boy and girl meet have some problems sing some songs and marry and live happily ever after....thats it..don't expect anything more of it.

second...I know 8 and 10 year old somailian immigrant kids who can barely speak English who can sing hindi film songs and tell me their fav actor.

so it is not a Pakistani obsession...and well American, Hindi and Japanese and Egyptian film industries are the largest so why wouldn't they be popular all around the world?

stop making entertainment a nationalistic issue.

Well said Kash! :)
Quite honestly, after a week of hectic work and all, one can only but think that oh, I can't watch Indian moveis cuz they're indian! hehe...
and I would agree with others who say that yes, Indian movies are better than Pakistani movies and thats why everyone watches them... afterall the language is shared!
but also, the same goez for Pakistani Dramas. I know ppl from India who'e absolutely crazy about'em and that's cuz they really are quality productions... and we're proud of dat.

Ciao.

yeah Pakistani movies are incredibly terrible..you know when someone tries to be something that they are?
Well, that what Pakistani movies remind me of...they're trying to copy off of Indian movies, but man are they doing a TERRIBLE job at it..
I saw a few, and after that, NEVER AGAIN! :)

On the other hand, Pakistani dramas are totally awsome...I know lot of people love Pakistani dramas....as for Indian movies, some of them are actually alright but some are totally idiotic...actually most are just decent...but it's pure entertainment though..now if the young ones are affected by them in a bad way or not is a different story.

me.

I just want to say that pak and indo movies are all the same with the same plot for about 50 years and that makes no sense. I have no idea, why all the pakistanis are obsessed with this crap.

I guess 2paks intent was to say that many people in Pakistan waste their time watching movies and not attempting to make their lives better etc etc. Which is not untrue.

Does it say anything about Indian movies? or american, english or french movies? not really. In reality it is those people who chose to avoid taking responsibility for themselves and instead wasted their time and energy with movies.

But then, maybe they were and are content with what thet have and who they are and thus care less…

or what is to say that if they did not have access to indian movies and they still wanted to just waste time.. that they would not find something else for that purpose…

Sincerely

I say that 2pak and ZZ are just talking a load of nonsense.

I just wanna put this straight, that;

Indian films are better than Pak films

              &

Pakistani dramas are better than Indian ones

This is from my point of view annyway.

That's right lost boy we have tons of time on our hands, my mom is only a full time mother and works for my father, and i only have friends and school, but the occasional movie we may see show that we have much time on our hands.

I must say many desi guys are so full of shit they can't see straight. but thats another discussion.
People like to watch movies as a form of entertainment. and don't u lostboy like to do anything for fun, or is your head to far up your but to have time to have fun. SO i guess thats means your are obsessed with something stupid and pointless, am i correct? and that umm, your parents 2pak didn't come to america because they are watching movies in Pakistan? I'm sure thats why they didn't come here.
I applaud the level of intelligence of certain people on this forum. I like hana's reply.

"Dil hai ki manta nahin"- always 714

714 thanks for such a sweet reply, Well I like to have fun, BUT Watching an Indian Movie would be the last thing I would wanna do, I mean what's the point don't we all know the thumbnail of a typical Indian movie?
I might be obsessed with something stupid and pointless, yet my obsession can never be as stupid and pointless as YOURS.
At the end I would suggest you keep your cool cuz this is only a discussion board and we all have an equal right to disucss our view point

Oh yea! one more thing by looking at your signature seems like Indian movies is all you do ;)

Peace out

Excuse me, PMS. I'll try to be as sweet as ever :)I'll try to be more civil, you're right everyone has a right to their own opinions, so i have a right to believe its dumb on your part to assume just because you don't like something its an obsession for those who like it. I am sure many people would find what you do for fun just as stupid as you find my form of entertainment. YOu're right i should keep my cool. But i can still express in any manner i choose, btw that signature has a much deeper meaning for me, than any movie and has nothing to do with that, oh lovely lostboy. Plus my maint thing with movies is music. I absolutely, LOVE music. My apologies for the rude comment, but it still sort of stands.

Watching movies:

There is a reason to watch something when u watch it, and the first and principal reason is the interest in the movie, charaters, story etc etc. You turn on the tele and go for your favourite program, why???? because u like something in it, u understand the emotions and story represented in that soap or movie. Same is the case here, Pakistanis watch indian movies because the production is better than pakistani movies, story might be the same but presented far better on the screen as compared to pakistani movie. The exposure of emotions, culture and atmosphere as almost the same as Pakistan on top of it the language is the same.

Films or movies is the considered to be the cheapest entertainment (though now its not) which does provide the entertainment but does leave the marks on ones mind, so people who see those movies learn few things, some of them are good for them and some not.

Finally, they dont watch pakistan movies, as I have already described, indian production is better, pakistani film industry has to work hard to bring viewer to their cenimas because the rent of a moive on vedio is cheaper than the cenima ticket, £5 for each while £5 for the film which can be watch by at least two people (husban and wife).

Now dont talk about the loyality to Pakistan etc etc, because every human being is selfish and so as u and so as me, we would like to entertain ourselves without thinking of Pakistan.

Lostboy-i hope everything is cool between us. DOn't worry about PMS :)its probably what you think it is. Najim, i liked your post. very nicely said

714 Yah we cool! But all I wanna know is why you mention PMS? I mean, any particular reason?
By the way you said in one of your posts that
“dil hai ki manta nahin” has a deeper meaning for you? May I ask what does it mean to you?
